DAY 1: Arrival in Kigali
You will be welcomed by our representative who will pick you up from the airport and transfer to your hotel in Kigali. You will have rest as you prepare for the next day at the start of our 8 Days Explore Rwanda Tour

Day 2: Transfer to Akagera National Park & Evening Game Drive
You will be met by your driver guide in Kigali to transfer to Akagera national park, this marks the start of our 8 Days Explore Rwanda Tour where you will arrive in time to embark on the late afternoon, check in at your lodge, you will have lunch, take a rest as we prepare for afternoon game drive, Akagera national park is located in north-eastern Rwanda and spans 2500 km² of savannah plains. The park has a variety of wildlife and is a habitat for over 500 different species of birds. You will return to the lodge.

Day 3: Early morning game drive and Private boat safari on Lake Ihema
Rise up early, you will have an early breakfast, have your packed lunch and go for a game drive with great anticipation of seeing different animals which rise early to graze and predators looking for their early morning kill. Later on in the afternoon, the final game excursion in Akagera National Park will be a private boat cruise on Lake Ihema. From your boat you will see the park and its inhabitants from a different vantage point as you cruise along the shoreline. Crocodiles bask on the banks of the lake which is also home to numerous hippos and bird species. You may even see elephants and buffalo at close range as they come down to the shoreline for a drink and return to the lodge

Day 4: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Today, after an early morning breakfast, you will be transferred to Volcanoes National Park. The national park contains parts of the Virunga mountain range and its 5 volcanoes that form the border between Rwanda, Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Besides being one of the most scenic sights in Africa, the park is also the gateway to face-to-face encounters with the iconic mountain gorillas.
While the main draw of visiting Volcanoes National Park is to see the real gorillas in the mist, there are other fantastic activities to experience here like, tracking excursions to find the rare golden monkeys, spectacular volcano hikes and a visit to the Dian Fossey research centre.

Day 5: Gorilla trekking
Early in the morning after breakfast, you will leave the lodge with your lunch packed, head for a briefing from the RDB officials in the park, and set off for the gorilla trekking. This marks one of our greatest activities in this 8 Days Explore Rwanda Tour This experience of gorilla trekking is a once in a lifetime adventure. The rangers will lead you deep into the forest in search of the Gorillas. You will move up and down the rugged terrain until you finally meet these harmonious creatures whose company you will cherish for 1 hour. The activity in Rwanda can take 3-5 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas. Later return to the lodge

Day 6: Transfer to Nyungwe National Park
Have a relaxed breakfast meal at your hotel. You will then meet up with your safari guide and head out for your journey to Nyungwe national park where you will be in the dense forest to meet our closest cousin primate-Chimpanzee. You will have a stopover for lunch and Later drive to your lodge

Day 7: Chimpanzee tracking and canopy walk

Day 7: Chimpanzee tracking and canopy walk
Enjoy breakfast and go for a briefing about the endangered chimpanzees before entering the forest in search of the active and playful fellows in Nyungwe forest. The Chimpanzees are much easier to spot as they jump from one tree to another, chattering and laughing. Chimpanzee tracking usually takes about 3 hours. On finding them, spend an hour while taking pictures and videos. You will then return to your accommodation for lunch.
After lunch, you will go on a walking trail that will take you to the Canopy Walk-a swing bridge 50 meters in length that is suspended from large trees. You will be able to see the amazing rainforest with a bird’s eye view, spotting wildlife moving about below you. Before night fall, you will return to the lodge

Day 8: Transfer to Kigali
Have breakfast early in the morning then drive to the park for a guided nature walk to one of the Isumo waterfalls in the park. This is a 4 hours hike to and from and you will get to see a lot of wildlife and bird species during your hike.
After your hike, have lunch and later transfer to Kigali where your driver/guide will drop you off at a hotel of your choice or Kigali International Airport where you will board your flight back home. If a city tour was not possible on your first day, then you can opt for a short tour of Kigali city.
