Uganda Tours and Travel

Kidepo Valley National Park: Situated on the borders of South Sudan and Kenya in the far northeast of Uganda, Kidepo is a fascinating region featuring semi-arid grasslands, periodic rivers, and small mountains. It is breathtaking and accessible all year round.

By spending the night close to Sipi Falls, many visitors cut their drive time in half. Over 500 kilometres separate Kampala town and Kidepo Valley National Park.
From Entebbe Airport, it is also feasible to reach Kidepo by plane; these air craft planes operate frequently. Due to the volume of visitors to the park, early confirmation is required and can be highly costly for single or small groups of travelers.

Many mammal species can be found in Kidepo, such as the Rothschild’s giraffe, spotted hyena, leopard, giraffe, caracal, elephant, zebra, black rhinoceros, skinks, ostrich, oribi, bat-eared fox, mountain reedbuck, tortoises, caracal, and Dik-dik.

One of the best ways to see a variety of birds in the park is to go on a bird-watching safari. You can see birds like the Yellow-billed Shrike, Black coucal, and Clapperton’s Francolin while on a Uganda wildlife adventure.

Guided Nature Walk

Walking is the best way to discover nature. You can see all the animals that you missed on the game drive with the help of an armed safari ranger.

The best time to take advantage of everything that Kidepo Valley National Park has to offer is between June and October and December and February, which is Uganda’s dry season. It’s always possible to witness the animals gathering at the few surviving waterholes.
